BetterCloud’s State of SaaS 2025 Report Highlights Rising IT Workloads and AI-Driven Spending Pressure

BetterCloud has released its State of SaaS 2025 Report, the twelfth edition of the industry’s most comprehensive SaaS management study. Based on insights from nearly 600 IT professionals, the report highlights how organizations are navigating SaaS complexity amid economic uncertainty and rapid AI adoption. Key findings reveal increased IT workloads, limited automation adoption, and a growing need for cost optimization and governance. The average company now operates with 18% fewer SaaS applications than in 2022, reflecting a shift toward efficiency and consolidation.

The report also emphasizes the pivotal role of IT in driving business value through smarter SaaS lifecycle management. With 95% of organizations investing in AI and 60% citing excessive manual workloads, the need for unified SaaS management platforms is stronger than ever. BetterCloud CEO Jesse Levin notes that this new era of SaaS management enables IT teams to embrace automation, strengthen security, and optimize spending across increasingly AI-driven environments.
